Lasisi Ajayi is a Professor of Literacy/Language Education and Chair of the Department of Teacher Education and Foundations, Watson College of Education, California State San Bernardino. Dr. Ajayi has served in different academic leadership positions, including Multiple Subject Credential Program Coordinator, WCOE Dean’s Fellow, Interim Chair of TEF Department, and Permanent Department Chair. Dr. Ajayi is also a productive researcher who has published more than 50 journal articles, book chapters in multimedia and multimodal literacies, critical literacy, social justice teaching, second language acquisition, and teacher preparation. His publications are cited worldwide.
Gölge SEFEROĞLU is a professor and the coordinator of the MA in TESOL program at CSUSB. She holds MA, EdM, and EdD degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University in TESOL and Applied Linguistics. Before joining CSUSB, Dr. Gölge Seferoğlu worked as a professor at Middle East Technical University in Turkey for 23 years and trained thousands of teachers and supervised 44 MA and PhD thesis in TESOL. She served as external examiner on hundreds of master’s and doctoral dissertation committees widely. Dr. Gölge Seferoğlu has directed many research projects and has been published in respected journals and has been cited extensively (Google Scholar citations: 2000). She received many outstanding academic performance awards and was chosen as one of the 80 inspiring women in Turkey in the British Council’s 80 Years, 80 Women, 80 Stories. She delivered numerous invited keynote speeches at prestigious international research conferences. Her research interests include social justice in ELT, technology enhanced language learning and teaching, pre- and in-service teacher education, and quality in education.
